Reach of Cherokee County is hiring a full-time Victim Advocate. To provide crisis intervention, information and referral, advocacy support, legal advocacy, transportation, accompaniment, and follow-up assistance to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking; assist victims with safety planning, obtaining court orders protection, and testifying in criminal court proceedings, facilitate support groups; assist in promoting services and reporting outcomes of the program; etc.
4-year degree in health and human services or related field, with at least two years of working experience in human resources issues. Strong writing, reading, listening, and speaking communication skills. Public speaking experience is necessary.
Have the ability to problem-solving skills, and ability to relate to the public, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to handle and deal with conflict and crisis situations.
Knowledge and/or experience with court processes is preferred.
Experience advocating for victims of sexual assault is also preferred. Must successfully complete a criminal history background check.

Evening/weekend Shelter Manager position.
We are looking for a reliable, independent people who can stay calm during stressful situations. The position provides case management and support services to clients of our emergency shelter. You must be able to pass a background check and a drug test. You also need to be able to lift 20 lbs. and have your own transportation.
